I’m Catarina, a Product Designer with a background in environmental and energy engineering.
After six years working in sustainability, life nudged me into a new direction.

 

When I discovered UX/UI, something immediately clicked. The idea of designing products by truly understanding people - their needs, motivations, and habits - felt both meaningful and exciting. It combined the problem-solving mindset I developed as an engineer with the creative freedom I’d long been craving.

As a designer, I’m empathetic, communicative, curious, and detail-oriented. I like to understand the “why,” think critically, and then bring clarity and simplicity to whatever I create.

Outside of work, you’ll often find me reading (mysteries, psychology… and lately, I've discovered fantasy), surfing, skiing, practising yoga, or exploring places where the ocean, mountains, and sun make me feel at home.

I’m currently looking for opportunities in UX/UI and Product Design in Swiss Romande and the Grand Genève area.
